A Secure Environment

As the popularity of E-commerce escalates, so will the demand for secure commerce servers. This increasing demand represents some needs that www.abitmark.com can fulfill.

What is a Secure Environment?

The two main requirements of a secure environment are SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and Digital ID's. An SSL server secures an HTTP session by encrypting the information exchanged between a client and the server.

Since www.abitmark.com offers these features, it will allow us to provide for the safety of our retailing customers' electronic transactions at only a very small monthly extra cost. In effect, we charge only $1.00 per page per month for this valuable service.

To gain the complete confidence of Internet consumers, SSL requires our secure host to possess a Digital ID, or "certificate", authenticating the host's identity. If you do not wish to use ours (which will be presented to a client accessing the site without its own Digital ID) , we recommend that you purchase your own from one of the following Certificate Authorities:

Certificate Authority Prices
http://www.verisign.com $349, Almost all browsers
http://www.thawte.com $100, Netscape 3.x, MSIE 3.x

The present page is presented to you with our non-secure server.

You can also see this page with our secure server.
Before entering our secure site you'll see this Internet certificate for www.secure.net:

which we at abitmark.com use.

If you click on the "More Info..." button, you'll see this:

Just click OK and you're entering our secure page. That's all there is to it.

Note: If you do not want that the above certificate appears before your secure pages open, you'll have to purchase you own certificate from one of the certificate authorities indicated above.

Thank you for visiting our non-secure page.
